The Seven Per Cent Solution is a wonderful romp. I'm generally pretty suspicious of Sherlock Holmes pastiches and I avoided this movie for years because I'm eve more suspicious of movies that mix fictional characters with real life people, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Very 70s, but to me that's a good thing!

We just saw "The In-Laws" about 2 months ago. HYSTERICAL. I have seen a few reviews online from people who said it was boring, probably because they simply don't get it. I'm not one to say "you just don't get it", but in this case, I think it fits.

It's been years since I've seen "Seven Per Cent Solution", and I recall being hesitant to watch it because I really didn't like the book. I should give it another go.

I loved Alan Arkin as Sigmund Freud in The Seven Per Cent Solution. He's one of those actors who was very highly thought of in the 70s but he does seem to be out of fashion these days. Maybe because he was a real actor rather than one of those histrionic Method Acting types who always win Oscars.

When I first saw this as a teen, I remember loving Arkin's voice and thinking--who the heck is this guy? He made my skin crawl though. One of the great villain performances.

Yay! I love both of these films. It was brilliant using Audrey's blindness to enhance suspense, and Arkin was fabulous. I also thought Hawn and Chase were a pairing that should have been used more often. Great chemistry.
