Announcing: Week Of Hong and White Elephant Blogathon

Saturday, March 3, 2012

Seth of Lost Video Archive has announced Week of Hong April 9 through 14, where bloggers celebrate the work of the ubiquitous and talented character actor James Hong.

Seth is looking for writers and artists interested in participating. Past Weeks have been Kotto Week and Blair Week if you want a feel for the kind of event this will be. While I missed Blair Week, thanks to Bryce at Things That Don't Suck I learned about Kotto Week, which featured a lot of wonderful articles and was an all-around success. Week of Hong is sure to be a winner, so head on over to Lost Video Archive to read more about how you can sign up.

Also here is the sign-up for the next White Elephant Blogathon! I love these things, mainly because I'm a sadist, if the bloggers who got my last two picks are any indication. Apparently, Universal Soldier: The Return sucks out loud and Big Trouble is boring. Well, ya know what? That's the point of the blogathon! You receive a mystery gift in the form of the movie and you never know what you'll get. Could be good. Could be offensive on both a moral and philosophical level. I had to spend $2.50 on a copy of 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain, a post which, to this day, gets a suspicious number of hits, and I'm a better person for it.

The sign-up for the White Elephant ends Tuesday, March 6, so head on over to Paul's place at Silly Hats Only to find out how to join. I've already submitted the movie some lucky blogger is going to get... and I am tenting my fingers and smiling smugly to myself right now.
