Stripped: The Comics Documentary

Wednesday, August 24, 2011

For years, I have been a fan of the Sheldon comic strip, as keen readers who remember this terribly boring post I wrote a year and a half ago know. Recently Dave Kellett, artist behind Sheldon and the sci-fi strip Drive -- one of Mr. Stacia's favorites -- announced he was in the final stages of completing a documentary titled Stripped: The Comics Documentary. Kellett and award-winning filmmaker Fred Schroeder have completed much of Stripped, but still have a ways to go.

That's why they have created a Kickstarter funding project to pay for the post-production expenses. If you don't know how Kickstarter works, it is basically a way for you to pledge a certain amount ($1 minimum pledge) toward an artist's goal. Once the goal is reached, you submit the amount you pledged. Often, there are premiums available for people who pledge a certain amount, and Stripped is no exception.

Go here to get all the details including screencaps, a teaser video, and all the info you could ever want.

Hat tip to Josh of the invaluable Comics Curmudgeon for this exciting announcement.
