"The Green Slime" on DVD? Yes, please!

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

Holy shit, you guys, "The Green Slime" is on DVD. Okay, it's the made-to-order type, but it's remastered and it's legit and it's in letterbox. This is major.

I actually have a really nice copy of the movie from Chad at 3B Theater: Micro Brewed Reviews and Scenes from the Morgue, and thank you again Chad for that! My own copy is ye olde VHS with some crinkled parts and it just won't track properly. God, I feel old for saying that. But "Green Slime" is one movie I don't think you can have too many copies of.

Speaking of Warner Bros. Archives, if you dig on Lon Chaney, you'll want to see what's available at the Archive. Looking for the silent "Unholy Three"? There it is, baby. Also, "One Way Passage" (1932) is in the new releases, but they have the wrong photo for it so don't get confused.

You are more than welcome. Glad it made it. (My old e-mail account is long gone -- long story.) And I can't wait to get my own hands on a letterboxed print of this thing. I swore it would take something truly special to pay archive prices for a bare-bones DVD-R and, well, here ya go.

Way cool! I've been waiting for it to come out sometime. Thanks for the headsup!
