The 1000th Photo: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Help You Win a DVD
Monday, February 8, 2010

Louie at the happenin' Give Me the Good Old Days! is hosting a contest where you, yes you, could win the "Footlight Parade" DVD. Check it out here!
Louie gives you the option to either love or hate The El. He is much nicer than me. I would not give you more than one option.
While getting ready to post this tonight, I realized I had just uploaded my 1000th photo to my SBBN photo account. That photo was El, of course, and is only fitting. But don't ask me about the tennis racket 'cause I ain't got no idea. I figure 1000 photos is a milestone of some sort, even if it is just an indicator that I need a life, so everyone throw around some Internet confetti and celebrate!

Yay for Rip!
Stacia,
Thanks for the shout out!!! The photograph of El is a promo pic from "Mr. Lemon of Orange". Since the film was a crime movie, the session tried to convey photographically "crime slang". This portrays "a racket". I have a few from this session and will probably post them when I write about Mr. Lemon for the film preservation blog-a-thon this month.
Ha! RACKET! That's coincidental, because I'm finishing up my post on "The Racket" tonight. I should have caught the reference.
