The fabulous Moira Finnie of Skeins of Thought and TCM's Movie Morlocks has generously tagged me for the Premios Dardo Award. And trust me, I would say Moira was fabulous even if she compared SBBN unfavorably to a big bag of pogs, so you can imagine how surprised and honored I was to read she had chosen me as one of five to pass the award on to. The other four Moira chose are amazing blogs and I'm humbled to be included in a list with them. Humbled but happy -- I'm positively grinning from ear to ear!

The Premios Dardo Award is:

"given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. These stamps were created with the intention of promoting fraternization between bloggers, a way of showing affection and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web.

The rules:

1) Accept the award by posting it on your blog along with the name of the person that has granted the award and a link to his/her blog.

2) Pass the award to another five blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgment, remembering to contact each of them to let them know they have been selected for this award."

The award appears to have originated on Spanish language blogs; "Premios Dardo" translates to "Dart Awards". Also, last year people were tagging 15 blogs and not just 5. It was so hard for me to choose which blogs to pass the award on to that I almost cheated and went back to 15, but decided instead to stick with the 5. For those of you worried about me passing up this opportunity to cheat, rest assured that I cheat on my upcoming 20 Actors Meme post.

sixmartinis and the seventh art: Shahn's blog is one of the first film blogs I fell in love with. She captures the most beautiful stills from films, every one breathtaking and remarkable. And her "sixmartinis" pseudonym makes me smile every time I see it.

ThadBlog: You won't find a better blog about comics and animation than this one.

Pour 15 Minutes D'Amour: I don't speak French in the slightest -- my husband knows a smattering of French, though, and conversations in my household sound like this:

ME: "Honey, what does 'vous' mean?"
HUSBAND: "You can't be serious."

But I adore this blog. Fire up the ol' translator (unless you're all educated and stuff and don't need a translator) and give Pour 15 Minutes D'Amour a try.

StinkyLulu: StinkyLulu's dedication to Supporting Actresses is inspiring, the fabulous homo heritage posts are delightful, and the daunting to do lists make me feel insecure and lazy. All signs of a quality, quality blog.
